I have never been there physically but have ordered online often. Always great service, great prices, and incredibly fast shipping.Every time I've called them about a product or for other inquiries I have spoken to knowledgeable, efficient and friendly people.The clearance special deals and clearance sections are always worth a look. I think it's the best online tool store in Canada!
Recently I purchased a Heavy Duty mobile base from Elite Tools because they had the best price I could find and free shipping. The package was shipped rapidly but the incorrect item was sent. I called the next day and they apologised and helped me out with the return shipping and they dispatched a replacement base immediately. Great service from Sean and I would happily recommend Elite Tools to anyone that asks.
Upon checkout online, my shipping costs were calculated at a cost of $0. Few days later, I received an email telling me I was going to get charged over $550 for shipping costs. Needless to say, I cancelled my order. My experience with Elite Tools, was very disappointing.I would not recommend.
A year ago I ordered an are-sol can of T-9 Boeshield lubricant and protectant from Elite Tools. I think I paid about 30 CAD and it came with a rust remover as well. A couple of weeks ago I ran out of the can I had before so I went to use my brand new never used bottle of T9. The propellant was completely gone and thus, the can of T9 was useless. I called Elite Tools and they had me speak with Samuel Cloutier from the marketing dept. Long story short is that they wont send me a replacement can. They say that it's because I've had it for a year which is total BS. I have cans of paint and other sprays from over 10 years ago that still work! This is brand new totally full and they wont help me. It's crazy to me that a company would rather loose a good customer who will obviously spend thousands of dollars over a life time for a measly 30 dollar can of lube. It goes to show that customer service is not their strong suit. Even if Boeshield wouldn't comp them for the can, Elite Tools should eat the loss as it was them that sold it to me. I work in this building trade and will make sure to tell as many as I can not to shop there simply because they wouldn't stand behind a product that they sold me. So disappointing. This is why I hate interned shopping. IT has no soul. There's no connection with the person in the store. Just another number in a long line of numbers.
